Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption by allowing only power supply for an optical disk device to be controlled independently when using the Port Multiplier function of SATA standards to constitute a system of peripheral devices including the optical disk device.SOLUTION: A host computer and peripheral devices such as an SSD and an optical disk device in a hybrid peripheral device system are connected by a port multiplexer IC. The system is provided with a switch for on/off switching of power supply to the optical disk device, and the port multiplexer IC and the switch receive a signal for on/off switching of power supply from the host computer through an MD terminal, and the switch performs on/off switching of power supply to the optical disk device by the signal.
