FRP EVALUATION METHOD AND EVALUATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an FRP evaluation method and an evaluation device that evaluate the characteristics of FRP in a nondestructive way and can easily, accurately identify any part deteriorated in strength and a cause for the deterioration.SOLUTION: The modulus of elasticity of an FRP that is a sample is measured at least at a testing temperature. By collating the measured modulus of elasticity of the FRP with the relationship between a modulus of elasticity and compressive strength pre-obtained for reference, the compressive strength of the FRP is estimated and thereby the relationship between the temperature and compressive strength of the FRP is acquired. By comparing the acquired relationship between the temperature and compressive strength of the FRP with the relationship between the pre-obtained reference relationship between temperature and compressive strength, the deterioration in strength and at least one cause thereof are identified.
