PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow stable use of a burner across a wide range, from low flame to high flame, by allowing enhanced flame holding performance of the burner.SOLUTION: A burner 30 for a gas cocking stove is equipped with a mixing tube 40 for introducing a mixed gas of fuel gas and primary air, and a hollow ring burner 50 connected to the mixing tube 40. Slope parts 73 and 75 with a flame hole 77 opened are stacked as a plurality of stages, in vertical direction, on the outer peripheral part of the ring burner 50. Flame holding walls 72-74 contacting to the flame formed at the flame hole 77 are provided to the upper side of the respective slope parts 73 and 75. By this, a flame holding performance of the burner is improved, allowing adjustment of thermal power across a wide range, from low flame to high flame.
