VENTILATION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a ventilation apparatus capable of carrying out an effective and efficient ventilation operation without useless consumption of power, and with an aim to achieve good humidity conditions.SOLUTION: The ventilation apparatus carries out ventilation to exchange an outdoor air with an indoor air in a space subject to ventilation. The apparatus includes: a humidity measurement unit 3 for detecting the humidity of the outdoor air; a ventilation mechanism 4 for carrying out exchange of the outdoor air with the indoor air in the space subject to ventilation; and a controller 2 configured to decide whether the ventilation mechanism 4 is to be resumed when a second period of time has passed since the ventilation mechanism 4 had been brought to a stop after a first period of time of operation of the ventilation mechanism 4. The decision is made based on the comparison between the results detected by the humidity measurement unit 3, one result detected by the humidity measurement unit 3 at the point when the ventilation mechanism 4 is brought to a stop, and the other detected at the point when the second period of time has passed since the ventilation mechanism 4 had been brought to a stop.
