Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side structure of a vehicle capable of securing a space for deploying an air bag between a seat and a door and reliably deploying a side air bag when a side collision is previously predicted and mounting a large-sized air bag and making a large drive force unnecessary by moving not the whole door but a lock mechanism to the outside of a vehicle.SOLUTION: On side collision prediction for previously predicting a prescribed or larger load inputted from a lateral side, the side structure of the vehicle provides a drive means 47 for moving a lock mechanism 46 to the outside of the vehicle so as to expand a space between the seat and the door 15, and deploys a bag of a side air bag device in the space between the door 15 and the seat enlarged by being moved to the outside of the vehicle of the lock mechanism 46.
