Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that there is a possibility that, if drive of a liquid discharge head is continued with a potential difference caused between a conducting layer covered with a resin channel component member having a wall surface defining the surface of a channel and ink in the channel will cause the material of the conducting layer to elute and show a migration phenomenon.SOLUTION: The liquid discharge head driving method is designed to drive a liquid discharge head 700 made up of a liquid discharge head board having a pair of first conducting layers supplying potential to drive a heater 704 and a second conducting layer to be connected to one of the pair of the first conducting layers, and a channel component member 108 having a discharge opening 703 and a portion 702a to be a wall surface defining the surface of the channel and provided so as to cover the second conducting layer and made of a resin so as to make the potential of the second conducting layer to be almost equal to the potential of a liquid in the channel.
