Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an integrated backlight illumination assembly for an LCD display including an optical diffusion clip used to reduce the hotspot due to the light insertion leakage as the result of the misalignment between the point light source and the light guide film.SOLUTION: The integrated backlight illumination assembly for an LCD display 10 includes: a plurality of light guide films 20 having light redirecting areas provided between a plurality of solid state light sources 12a, 12b, 12c for redirecting and spreading light from the point light sources to a uniform plane of light; and at least one polymer diffusion clip 30 including an integral optical spacer, a light diffusion section and an integral anchoring feature. In the assembly, balancing the light output from the output surface with the light output from the diffusion clip 30 is achieved.
