PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory device which reads misaligned data at high speed, and to provide a memory system.SOLUTION: A memory device includes a plurality of word lines and a plurality of bit lines, and is configured to be accessed by specifying addresses by the plurality of word lines and bit lines. A plurality of memory cells of consecutive addresses are arranged for one word line, and are configured to access the plurality of memory cells of the addresses which continues in parallel from the plurality of bit lines corresponding thereof. Among the plurality of word lines, a first word line and a second word line that specifies an address next to that of the first word line have an overlapping address range. A first memory cell connected to the first word line and a second memory cell connected to the second word line are assigned in a redundant fashion to the same address.
