OUTDOOR UNIT OF AIR CONDITIONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit of an air conditioner, provided with a handhold device preventing the intrusion of water into the body through the gap between the opening of a casing and the edge of a handhold tool, without using seal materials.SOLUTION: The outdoor unit of the air conditioner includes: the casing, the interior of which is partitioned into a heat exchanger chamber and a machine chamber; a suction port at least on the back side; a discharge port on the front side; and the handhold device fitted with the handhold tool 30 made of synthetic resin into the opening formed in the casing. The handhold tool 30 includes a handhold flange portion 3d with a back surface in contact with the outer surface of the peripheral edge portion of the opening 3a. The handhold flange portion 3d is provided with groove portions 3g, 3j having lateral grooves 3h, 3k formed in the upper portion of the back surface to extend laterally, and vertical grooves 3i, 3l formed in the both side portion of the back surface continuously from the lateral grooves 3h, 3k to extend vertically with the lower side opened.
