PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing device surely housing and discharging a recording medium.SOLUTION: A CD player 1 is equipped with: a device body 3 having a front panel 31 having an insertion port 10 for inserting a CD2 inside; a reproducing unit 4 for reading information from the CD 2 housed in the device body 3 and inserted through the insertion port 10; a guiding unit 7 located between the front panel 31 and the reproducing unit 4 to guide the CD2 inserted through the insertion port 10; and an interval adjusting mechanism 30. The guiding unit 7 includes a pair of guiding members between which the CD2 is inserted. The interval adjusting mechanism 30 moves the guiding member 37 so that an interval D2 between the edges of the guiding member 37 when the CD 2 is discharged, is wider than an interval D1 between the edges of the guiding member 37 when the CD2 is housed.
