APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MEASUREMENT OF GEAR TRANSMISSION EFFICIENCY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear transmission efficiency measuring apparatus that can accurately and quickly measure the engagement efficiency of a gear engaging section and is simplified while a gear set to be measured is not limited.SOLUTION: A gear set 8, which includes an input shaft 81 and an input bearing 83 wherein a driving gear 82 is removable and an output shaft 86 and an output bearing 88 wherein a driven gear 87 is removable, is an object to be measured, and the gear transmission efficiency measuring apparatus includes: input and output torque detector 30 and 35; a transmission efficiency calculator 38 for obtaining transmission efficiency from the detected torque; a partial output detector 40 and 45 for detecting the partial output generating in the input bearing and output bearing; an arrangement converter 2 for arranging/converting the gear set 8 in actual operation mode M1 for engaging the driving gear and driven gear with each other and shaft direct connection mode for connecting the input shaft and output shaft with each other; a partial output grasping device for grasping the actual operation partial output generating in the input bearing and output bearing in the actual operation mode; and a load presser for applying an equivalent load corresponding to the actual operation partial output to the input bearing and output bearing in the shaft direct connection mode.
