Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skeleton structure of a vehicle seat which prevents the release of rotatable engagement even if a cargo collides with a rear vehicle seat adopting a rotatably-engageable locking mechanism from the rear side.SOLUTION: The skeleton structure of the vehicle seat includes an upper frame 4 and a lower frame 6 extending in the vehicle width direction in a backrest 2 of a rear vehicle seat 1 having a luggage space at a rear surface side. These two upper and lower frames are connected by a plurality of wire materials 8 extending in the vertical direction. Hook members 10 provided at both ends of the upper frame 4 are rotated in a direction where rear wheels are rotated backwardly and engaged with engaged pins 14 provided on inner walls 12 of a vehicle body. The wire materials 8 are welded to the upper frame 4 at weld edges 8a so that their lower ends are drooped toward the rear side of a vehicle.
