THERMAL TRANSFER IMAGE RECEIVING SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer image receiving sheet having high smoothness, excelling in transfer density, having low environmental dependency in printing, improving density unevenness of a high density part even in high energy printing, having less image blur after the lapse of time of printed matter and preventing the occurrence of rugged unevenness in a part with a large density difference in an image of high contrast.SOLUTION: The thermal transfer image receiving sheet includes a heat insulating layer of at least one layer, an intermediate layer and a receiving layer in this order on a support body. The receiving layer contains at least one kind of polymer latex obtained from polyvinyl chloride and having repeated units. The heat insulating layer contains at least non-foaming hollow polymer with an average particle diameter of 0.3-2.0 μm, and gelatin. The intermediate layer contains an inorganic laminar compound.
