PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently perform the positioning when integrally forming a plurality of components by detecting the position of a material to be machined near the most important and final process, and controlling the feed of the material.SOLUTION: A material position detection and control device includes a light source 30 provided with a pair of dies 21, 22 for performing a plurality of processes while intermittently feeding a material F at the predetermined interval, and embedded in one die 21 to emit parallel light while a material position detection hole F1 being formed in the material F, a position detector 31 which is embedded in the other die 22 to detect the feed deviation from the reference position based on the projecting position of the passing light by the material position detection hole F1, and a controller 40 for feeding the material F by correcting the set feed of the material F based on the feed deviation.
