PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exercise device which is used for doing the exercise and cures back problems, stiff shoulders, or the like by strengthening muscles in the vicinity of the backbone, hip joints, or the like at the same time.SOLUTION: The exercise device 600 includes a load part 602 having a load means for applying a load to an exercise part and a seating part 601 on which a user sits. Then, the exercise device is configured to operate in a direction to apply the load to the muscles by the load means and to operate in a direction opposite from the direction in the operation to apply the load so that rhythmical contracting/relaxing exercises of the muscles are led and achieves a relaxed body by guiding the relaxing exercise of the muscles by surrendering the body to a light load and by guiding the contracting exercise of the muscle by the load operation to oppose the light load.
