WAKEFULNESS MANAGEMENT ASSISTING DEVICE OR ITS METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wakefulness management assisting device capable of a safe ECT treatment method.SOLUTION: A patient's spontaneous breathing starts in a while after turning on the electricity by ECT treatment. When the patient's spontaneous breathing starts, the spontaneous breathing and breathing with an artificial respirator conflict each other in a mask. A CPU 23 determines whether a waveform generated by the conflict of the spontaneous breathing and the breathing with the artificial respirator is identical to conflict data (Step S36), and displays it on a monitor 31 that the patient is on a spontaneous breathing transition mode when the waveform is identical to the conflict data (Step S37 in Fig.4). When informed that the patient is on the spontaneous breathing transition mode, a practitioner stops supply from the artificial respirator 45. When wakefulness data is detected within a predetermined elapsed time after displaying that the patient is on the spontaneous breathing transition mode, the CPU 23 displays it on the monitor 31 that the patient is on a wakefulness mode.
