Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that in a content reproducing system in which a plurality of content reproducing devices are connected by a plurality of interfaces, there is the case where an individual content reproducing device is different in corresponding reproduction capability, and if a user does not select the content reproducing device suitably, the content to be viewed cannot be reproduced.SOLUTION: In the content reproducing device and the content reproducing system, reproduction capability information exchange and content reproduction are instructed via a control signal of an HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) between a plurality of content reproducing devices 110 (120) interconnected by the HDMI, and the content reproducing device which can reproduce the content which the user selects is suitably selected from among the plurality of content reproducing devices.
