Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device, along with a lighting device, capable of enhancing mechanical strength and weatherability of an electrode.SOLUTION: The light emitting device 10 includes: a translucent substrate 11 which has a light transmitting part 11a and an electrical connection 11b and has a surface of at least the electrical connection formed in a rough surface R1; one electrode 12 formed at least on the light transmitting part of the substrate and the rough surface of the electrical connection; a light emitting layer 13 opposing to the light transmitting part of the substrate and formed on the one electrode; the other electrode 14 formed on the light emitting layer and the rough surface of the electrical connection; and a sealing layer 15 formed so as to cover at least the light emitting layer.
