PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly estimate and report power consumption in service processing having a plurality of processing contents.SOLUTION: The amount of power consumption required for starting the respective processing contents constituting the service processing and the value of power consumption required at execution are read from a power consumption conversion table. The amount of power consumption at execution, which is obtained by multiplying the value of power consumption required at execution by the number of pages or copies of document information, is added to the amount of power consumption required for starting. Then, the amount of power consumption by each processing content is calculated, the calculated amounts of power consumption of the respective processing contents are added, so that the power consumption is calculated (110, 116). In this case, when the same processing (e.g., printing) is continuously performed, the power consumption required for starting is the single time power consumption, so that the power consumption for starting is not continuously added. Then, the calculated power consumption is displayed (118).
