Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a payment system and payment method capable of making payment without facing a visitor.SOLUTION: The payment system includes an outdoor terminal 110 installed in a position accessible for any visitor, and a control device 120 for controlling the outdoor terminal 110. The outdoor terminal 110 is provided with an authentication information input unit 111 for inputting authentication information, a billing information input unit 112 for inputting billing information. A control device 120 is provided with an authentication unit 123a for certifying based on the authentication information input by the authentication information input unit 111 and/or on the billing information input by the billing information input unit 112, and a payment unit 123b for making payment based on the billing information input by the billing information input unit 112 when the authentication by the authentication unit 123a succeeds.
