VEHICLE ACCIDENT REPORTING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a cancel button of accident report from malfunctioning or being erroneously operated due to impacts of a big accident, concerning a vehicle accident reporting system for reporting the accident occurring in the vehicle mounting the system through a communication line.SOLUTION: A control unit detects a damage of the vehicle by stoppage of electric power supplied from an on-board battery (S62). The control unit invalidates processing of accident report to a center device (S76) by operating the cancel button (S72), concerning such an accident as collision is detected but no damage is detected. While, when detecting the occurrence of the collision and damage, the system determines that a big accident has occurred (S62). In this case, the control unit invalidates cancel operation, and reports the occurrence of the big accident to the center device regardless of the presence thereof (S64).
