Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the size of a retractor for a certain kind of patients who are considerably limited in such heart functions as to increase the patient's risk to significantly damage blood circulation conditions due to a pressure state of the chest under single lung ventilation.SOLUTION: The retractor for a surgical operation includes a thin and long shaft 1 and a handle 2. The shaft has an oval shape, and it includes two continuous lumens. One lumen is usable for housing a 5 mm endoscopic optical system, and the other lumen includes a spatula unit 3 that is extensible and deployable. At a close end of the shaft, a suction tube is connectable. Suction gas can flow from the close end of the shaft to a terminal end of the shaft inside both lumens so as to reach an operation area. A shaft end part at a close position is securely connected by a handle end part at a far position. |
