PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm that a difference occurs between a scan image and a confirmation image as the result of image editing. SOLUTION: In an image processing system 1, on the basis of the scan image acquired by optical scanning, a confirmation image to be displayed on an operating panel 20 is generated. While the confirmation image is displayed on the operating panel 20, operation information instructing image editing is received. On the basis of the received operation information, the confirmation image is edited, the scan image is edited and a comparison result obtained by comparing the edited confirmation image with the edited scan image is displayed on the operating panel 20.
