Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a piezoelectric material comprising polyvinylidene fluoride wherein contraction resulting from extension is minimized, and to provide a piezoelectric sensor using the piezoelectric material. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric material is obtained by adding quarternary ammonium salt or clay subjected to surface treatment with quarternary ammonium salt to polyvinylidene fluoride which is homopolymer of vinylidene fluoride, and then subjecting the polyvinylidene fluoride to non-stretched polarization. Since it is non-stretched, a piezoelectric material where contraction resulting from extension is minimized, and a piezoelectric sensor using the piezoelectric material can be obtained.
