Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a piezoelectric material comprising polyvinylidene fluoride wherein contraction resulting from extension is minimized, and to provide a piezoelectric sensor using the piezoelectric material. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric material is obtained by subjecting vinylidene fluoride polymer having a nonpolar α-type crystal structure to additive-free non-stretched polarization. Since it is non-stretched, a piezoelectric material where contraction resulting from extension is minimized, and a piezoelectric sensor using the piezoelectric material can be obtained.
