OPTICAL DISK AND OPTICAL DISK CARTRIDGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk of which the secret data can be made unreadable with a simple means in discarding the optical disk. SOLUTION: In the optical disk having an optically transparent burst cutting area, the optical disk has a BCA seal to which burst cutting information is imparted stuck to the burst cutting area of a label face on the side opposite to the recording surface of the optical disk, wherein the BCA seal is composed of a nearly doughnut-shaped body section having a center hole larger than the center hole of the optical disk in the central section thereof and a knob section connected with the body section. The optical disk has a first adhesion area surrounding the circumference of the center hole for connection with the optical disk, a second adhesion area provided on the outermost section of the BCA for connection with the optical disk, and a burst cutting region having the burst cutting information between the first and second adhesion areas.
