DISPLAY DEVICE AND PAGE REWRITING METHOD FOR USE THEREWITH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display method that retrieves a desired page at high speed by designating a rewrite range and performing rewriting by scanning in the designated rewrite range, and to provide a page rewriting method. SOLUTION: An LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) display 10 has a touch-panel function. A user taps the LCD display 10 for input. A display control unit 12 displays a screen in accordance with display operation information stored in a data memory 40 and a display memory. An input control unit 14 accepts user input operation to the LCD display 10, transmits the operation to the display control unit 12, and displays the content of the input. A CPU (Central Processing Unit) 20 controls the entire display device based on a program stored in the program memory 30, an operation definition file stored in a data memory 40, and the operation information.
