INPUT DEVICE AND POINTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointing device which enables a user to intuitively recognize a manipulated variable by using a compact input device. SOLUTION: The pointing device includes: an input device 2 including an operation member 7 which is rubbed by a user's finger and is displaced according to force applied in an input direction and indicates a maximum displacement quantity of 1 mm or less when the force applied in the input direction is 1 N or less and a detection means 12 for detecting the displacement quantity of the operation member 7; and a display device which can display a position, wherein the display position is moved only by a distance corresponding to the displacement quantity of the operation member 7 detected by the detection means 12 in each predetermined time.
