SHEET MATERIAL CONVEYING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE EQUIPPED WITH THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet material conveying device capable of obtaining a high noise suppressing effect when the tip of a sheet material passes a turn part. SOLUTION: In the sheet material conveying device in which a transfer paper conveying direction is changed by plunging the tip of a transfer paper by imparting conveying force to a transfer paper rear end side part through a conveying roller 8, and moving the tip of the transfer paper along an outside guide member 24 of the turn part, whereas the turn part changes the transfer paper conveying direction by curving the transfer paper P, an inside guide member 23 is provided on the turn part, and a sponge block 26 elastically deformed by force applied from a curved inside surface in a collision is provided in a collided place of the inside guide member where the curved inside surface of the transfer paper collides, due to the moving of the tip of the transfer paper along the outside guide member of the turn part.
