Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus efficiently decomposing and removing dioxins from soil contaminated with dioxins thereby decontaminating the soil with small consumption of energy. SOLUTION: The gasification apparatus includes three heating devices 10, 20, 30 comprising: heating vessels 13, 23, 33 each including an inner tube provided with a spiral plate receiving the soil and rotating to move the soil from a soil receiving port to a discharge port; tubes 14, 24, 34 wound around outer peripheries of the heating vessels 13, 23, 33; and combustion means combusting fuel in the tubes 14, 24, 34. The first heating device 10 heats the soil to a first temperature to vaporize moisture in the soil, the second heating device 20 heats the soil to a second temperature, and the third heating device 30 heats the soil to a third temperature to volatilize hardly decomposable organic compounds in the soil and reacts it with superheated steam to thereby decompose the hardly decomposable organic compounds.
