PIEZOELECTRIC RESONATOR, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost piezoelectric vibrator for suppressing spreading of a conductive adhesive, and to provide a method of manufacturing the piezoelectric vibrator. SOLUTION: Projecting parts 41, 42 are formed at positions of a base body 3, corresponding to electrode terminals of a crystal oscillation piece 10 by etching the base body 3; metal films are formed on surfaces of the projecting parts 41, 42; and the metal films are electrically connected to the electrode terminals of the crystal oscillation piece 10 by a conductive adhesive 34. Since the conductive adhesive 34 swell due to surface tension on side faces of the projecting parts 41, 42 goes into a state with less likely flowing out to the outside, and thereby spreading of the conductive adhesive 34 can be suppressed. Since the thicknesses of the metal films formed on the surfaces of the projecting parts 41, 42 can be reduced, the cost of the crystal oscillation piece 10 is reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
