PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine capable of easily performing alternative display even when a digital display device for displaying a cold/hot condition, price, etc. of merchandise fails to operate properly. SOLUTION: As an alternative display means when the digital display device fails to operate properly, a roughly U-shaped mounting plate 25b is engaged with a frame 24 fitted with the digital display device, a display sheet 25a which is formed to be longer than a length from a top part 26 to a bottom part 27 of the roughly U-shaped mounting plate and has information such as the cold/hot condition, price, etc. printed thereon is inserted from a slit 28 provided in the top part 26 until the display sheet 25a touches the bottom part 27.
