SOLUTION: The multi-core plastic optical fiber includes at least an inner layer and an outer layer, a plurality of refractive index distribution type optical transmission units are arranged in the inner layer, the inner layer has at least one roughly flat surface part, and a release layer is provided between the inner layer and the outer layer.
