THERMAL MEASUREMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LEAK DETECTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that secures integrity of a system by performing early detection of a leak of a fluid caused within other systems including a power generation system, a turbine system, an oil refinery, a processing plant, or a fluid passage so as to control loss of the fluid. SOLUTION: The system (12) includes a controller (44) configured to receive a signal from a thermal radiation sensor (42) indicative of a temperature of a region including at least one of the fluid passages (64, 66, 68). The controller (44) is also configured to detect a leak within the at least one of the fluid passages (64, 66, 68) based on the signal. The thermal radiation sensor (42) is allowed to include a thermopile. The system (12) is allowed to include an optical focus adjustor that is configured to make the heat radiation from the region converge to the thermal radiation sensor (42).
