Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diesel engine capable of controlling the problem that engine oil enters a fuel injection pump. SOLUTION: A diesel engine which houses a fuel injection pump 2 in an injection pump housing case 1, installs a fuel injection cam shaft 3 below the fuel injection pump 2 and makes engine oil 14 flow into an inner bottom of the injection pump housing case 1, keeps an oil thrower part 18 in an inner peripheral surface of the injection pump housing case 1 and removes in the oil thrower part 18 a part of engine oil 14 to be lifted up to the fuel injection pump 2 side on a peripheral surface of a fuel injection cam 34 along a peripheral surface of the fuel injection cam 34 by the oil thrower part 18.
