FLUID PUMP SYSTEM AND METHOD OF OPERATING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid pump system of simple, compact and inexpensive structure restricting pulsation well. SOLUTION: A water pump system 10 includes: a water pump 46, in which a plunger 44 common to a first pump chamber 42a and a second pump chamber 42b is arranged; a first suction side valve 54a and a first discharge side valve 56a arranged upstream and downstream of the first pump chamber 42a; a second suction side valve 54b and a second discharge side valve 56b arranged upstream and downstream of the second pump chamber 42b; and a control device 20. The water pump 46 includes a first and a second shock absorbing parts 62a and 62b to be extended/shrunken in response to the strength of a load to be applied in the reciprocating direction of the plunger 44 in both ends of the plunger 44, and in the first and the second shock absorbing parts 62a and 62b, damping force on an extension side and damping force on a shrinking side are set to be different from each other.
