Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric gripping device which surely continuously exerts gripping force on a work, even when stopping current-carrying of an electric motor, and surely continuously grips the work in a predetermined attitude while saving energy. SOLUTION: This electric gripping device includes a driving member for imparting translational motion by the electric motor, a plurality of movable claws for opening-closing so as to grip the work, a link mechanism for displacing the respective movable claws by interlocking with displacement of the driving member and a lock mechanism for restricting the displacement of the driving member when stopping the current-carrying of the motor. The link mechanism includes one or a plurality of links, and the one or the plurality of links are composed of an elastic body at least in its one, and are constituted so as to store elastic force while being deformed by its reaction when the movable claws press the work.
