CLAMP MECHANISM AND EDGE REPLACEMENT TYPE TOOL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a member for a clamp over a long period, and to increase installation strength of an cutting insert to an insert installing seat, without abrading the member for the clamp when attaching-detaching the cutting insert to the insert installing seat. SOLUTION: This clamp mechanism 5 is provided with an insert pressing member 7 and a screw member 8, for fixing the cutting insert 6 having a through-hole 10 penetrating in the thickness direction and having a slit 11 opening by extending outside from the through-hole, to the insert installing seat 3 of a tool body 2. The insert pressing member includes a diametrically expansive head part 12 engaging with the through-hole of the cutting insert and a body part 13 inserted into the through-hole by extending from the diametrically expansive head part. A screw hole 14 is formed in the body part. In the screw member, among male screw parts respectively formed on both ends, one is screwed to a screw hole 4 formed in the insert installing seat of the tool body, and the other is screwed to the screw hole 14 of the insert pressing member.
