PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and reproducing device, a reproducing device, a recording method, a reproducing method, and a computer program which share the appreciation of contents without the limitation of conditions such as connection to a network and the reproduction of the same titled contents in the same time zone, eliminate loads such as the aggregation, storage, and provision of comments to providers for rendering a content distributing service. SOLUTION: The recording and reproducing device accepts additional data relating to the contents and records the accepted additional data on a hybrid disk C by being associated with a displayed image on a display device 4 upon accepting and an accepting time when recording the contents of the hybrid disk C, and displays the additional image (comments, for example) on the display device 4 based on the additional data along the accepting time and displayed image when reproducing the contents of the hybrid disk C.
