METHOD FOR PRODUCING AMORPHOUS TITANIUM PEROXIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method capable of producing clarified amorphous titanium peroxide particles at short times without cooling. SOLUTION: The method for producing the amorphous titanium peroxide comprises the following steps of (A) to (C). The method comprises steps of (A) forming a precipitate by adjusting the pH of the solution containing a prescribed amount of hydroxides of titanium to a value of pH 2-6, (B) washing the precipitate obtained by the step (A) with a prescribed amount of pure water, measuring conductivity of a supernatant liquid in the washing step, and repeating the washing and measuring steps until the conductivity becomes ≤30 μS/cm, and (C) reacting by adding an oxidizing agent into the solution containing the precipitate obtained by the step (B), so that the concentration of titanium of the precipitate becomes 0.01-1 wt.%.
