PNEUMATIC RADIAL TIRE FOR NEW URBAN TRAFFIC VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire for a new urban traffic vehicle, which is advantageous in suppression of traveling growth and suppression of deterioration of rubber in a belt layer. SOLUTION: This radial tire 10 includes two or more belt layers 14, each of which is constituted of a belt cord 1402 spirally wound at an angle of substantial 0° with respect to a tire equatorial plane and cord coated rubber 1404, and one or two steel cord reinforcing layers 16, each of which is provided between the belt layer 14 and a carcass layer 12 and has a steel cord 1602 arrayed at an inclined angle of 40-80° with respect to the tire equatorial plane. The belt cord 1402 is a HE cord of a multi-twist m×n type in which a twist direction of strand and a twist direction of cord are made uniform in the same direction. In the cord coated rubber, the total content of sulfur in the cord coated rubber 1404 is from 4.0 phr to 5.5 phr, and carbon content is from 40 phr to 55 phr. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
