RECORDER AND RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder and recording method, which suppresses the mutual collision of a recording medium even when changing the conveying condition of the recording medium in the process for recording on the recording medium to be recorded. SOLUTION: The recorder includes a first conveyance part 15 for intermittently conveying paper 12 from upstream side to downstream side in the conveying direction, a second conveyance part 16 which is located on the downstream side of the conveying direction rather than the first conveyance part 15 and conveys the paper 12 continuously, a printing part 37 which adheres an ink on the paper 12 which is intermittently conveyed on the first conveyance part 15 and is in a stopped condition and prints on the paper, a heater 43 for applying a fixing processing for fixing the printing on the paper 12 which is continuously conveyed on the second conveyance part 16 while the ink adhered by the printing part 37, and a control unit for controlling the second conveyance part 16. The control unit controls the second conveyance part 16 so that the second conveyance part 16 may convey the paper 12 with the speed higher than the average conveying speed at the first conveyance part 15 conveying the paper 12.
