Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalyst for a water photolysis reaction, which has both of a promotor for an oxidation reaction and a promoter for a reduction reaction on one and the same particle, which can increase a photolysis reaction velocity drastically when irradiated with light and which is efficient and industrially advantageous. SOLUTION: The photocatalyst (100) for the water photolysis reaction includes an optical semiconductor (10), the promotor (20) for the oxidation reaction and the promotor (30) for the reduction reaction and is obtained by supporting the promotor (20) for the oxidation reaction and the promotor (30) for the reduction reaction on the optical semiconductor (10).
