Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting module capable of widening an effective area of a liquid crystal panel without deteriorating color characteristics of a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The light emitting module 100 arranged at the side of the light incident face 13a of a light guide plate 13 as a light source of the light source device 1 provided with the light guide plate 13 includes: a substrate 101 arranged so that one main surface 101a faces the light incident face 13a; a light source 110 provided on the one main surface 101a and provided with a plurality of semiconductor light emitting elements 102 and a translucent member 103 covering the semiconductor light emitting elements 102; and a light shielding part 111 provided on the one main surface 101a for shielding at least a part of light radiated from the light source 110 in the direction of the irradiation angle or larger of the light source 110 and also the direction toward the light incident surface 13a.
