Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp socket capable of supplying power to both a fluorescent lamp and an alternative lamp, and a lighting fixture using the same. SOLUTION: The lamp socket A is installed detachably with any of a fluorescent lamp or an alternative lamp formed in the same dimension as the fluorescent lamp in outline dimensions and is equipped with power feeding terminals 3, 3 to supply high frequency power to the fluorescent lamp through a lamp pin of the fluorescent lamp, a power feeding terminal 4 to supply a desired power different from the high frequency power, and a case 1 in which power feeding terminals 3, 4 are housed. The alternative lamp is equipped with a power receiving terminal to which a desired power is supplied from the power feeding terminals 4 by contacting a power feeding terminal member 4b of the power feeding terminal 4.
