ELECTRIC CONNECTOR WITH DUST-PROOF HOOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector with a dust-proof hood having a sealed structure capable of preventing a careless opening of an opening/closing door and capable of stably maintaining the opening/closing door in the closing condition without using a member such as a spring material. SOLUTION: This electric connector with the dust-proof hood includes: a first connector 1 having an opening part in one end thereof and including a male terminal 3; a second connector inserted into the first connector and including a female terminal 4 to be connected to the male terminal; and a dust-proof hood 5 sealing the opening part of the first connector and having a male terminal insertion hole 5b, wherein an elastic opening/closing lid 5c to be opened/closed by appearance/disappearance of the male terminal is arranged. This electric connector with the dust-proof hood is characterized by connecting/disconnecting the male and female terminals by inserting/drawing the second connector into/from the first connector to vertically move the dust-proof hood inside of the connector so that the male terminal opens/closes the elastic opening/closing door of the male terminal insertion hole of the dust-proof hood with the vertical movement of the dust-proof hood.
