OPTICAL DISK RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk recording and reproducing device wherein noise can be reduced by controlling so that the temperature in the optical disk recording and reproducing device will not exceed an operation guarantee temperature of an optical disk, without providing a temperature sensor. SOLUTION: The optical disk recording and reproducing device reproduces information recorded in the optical disk, and includes an optical pickup reading the information recorded in the optical disk and a fan ventilating the optical disk recording and reproducing device, and the fan is rotated and driven at a predetermined rotation speed according to the kind of the optical disk discriminated by the optical pickup.
