METHOD FOR DESIGNING AND MANUFACTURING CAM DEVICE, AND THREE-DIMENSIONAL DESIGN-SUPPORT COMPUTER PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save any waste due to the exchange of design repair information to be performed until the design of a cam device is completed. SOLUTION: A method of designing and manufacturing the cam device is characterized in that a three-dimensional design-support computer program which includes a customer setup program 2 for customers and a manufacture setup program 3 for cam device manufactures, which are configured to generate different fineness in 3D models and characteristic values of cam performance to be output or displayed as a result of design of the cam device, and are configured to obtain a result which indicates the same cam device except for fineness and the required calculation items when the same parameters are loaded is created, and that the customer setup program 2 is lent from the cam device manufacture to the customer on the assumption that the manufacturing of the cam device is ordered by the customer and the cam device manufacturer, and that each component is designed following design using the manufacture setup program 3 on the basis of design data handed from the customer setup program, thereby each component is manufactured following its component design drawing.
