Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alcohol detecting device which can obtain a good detection result even when a user blows exhalation vigorously. SOLUTION: In the alcohol detecting device 101, an axial fan 7 is disposed on the just downstream side of an intake hole 14 of a case 5, so that a flow direction (arrow P1) of exhalation blown into the intake hole 14 and a flow direction (arrow P2) of exhalation flowing into the axial fan 7 cross with each other (non-coaxial), and that the flow velocity of exhalation flowing out by the axial fan 7 becomes substantially constant regardless of vigor of exhalation blown by a driver M.
