PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parachute capable of preventing abnormal parachute opening, without increasing the storage volume and weight. SOLUTION: In this parachute 10, after a suspension rope 40 is extended, a parachute body 20 is pulled out of an inner sac 50, and is drawn out while holding a parachute closing state. After a parachute central part 26 and a parachute edge part 27 of the parachute body 20 are extended, the parachute closing state of the parachute body 20 is released. Thus, an abnormal parachute opening state such as partial reversal parachute opening and complete reversal parachute opening of the parachute body 20 when starting parachute opening of the parachute body 20 in an irregular state since the parachute edge part 27 is loosened, can be prevented without forming the parachute edge part 27 of a net of becoming the cause of an increase in the storage volume and the weight of the parachute body 20.
